Although the majority of the drives we clean and seal are block paved we also carry out refurbishement to imprinted concrete and tarmac drives.

Block paving has been around for many years now. As more and more people have it laid, the demand for ongoing maintenance and upkeep has increased substantially.

Because block paving is very porous, it is particularly vulnerable to 'attack' by surface growth such as green algae, moss and lichen. Staining from oil and tyre marks are additional problems that all make driveway maintenance an ongoing process.

Driveway Cleaning Process

• Pre-treat with moss, algae or weed killer (if required)
• Pressure Clean with rotary head and lance
• Allow to dry throughly
• Re-Sand (block paving)
• Apply protective sealers

Cleaning and sealing a block paved driveway normally takes place over a two day period with several days drying between. Once the driveway is pressure cleaned, regardless of type of surface, must be left to completely dry out before any sealing can take place.
